IFM
Improved Forest Management (IFM) projects alter harvesting practices on commercially managed forests to increase carbon stocks above what would occur under a business-as-usual scenario. This can include extending harvest rotations, reducing harvest intensity, or converting logged forests to protected areas. Credits represent the additional carbon sequestered or avoided as a result of the changed management regime.
